I began the body of work I called "Still With Us" with images I had photographed in Prague and at Terezin, where numerous Jewish artists, writers, composers, and musicians were interred and lost their lives. After working for months with images of pain, I searched for images of survival and joy. The light, warmth, depth, and intelligence of the Jewish people, by some miracle, have not been extinguished.
