The system converts that charged drawing into a relatively quiet, frontal figure whose face and upper body hold steady while edges and details jitter and blur. There is a sense of something being reconstituted from memory rather than fully seen.

The AI image is printed onto Polaroid I type film as a single small print. The composition and oddities were already present in the file; on instant film they simply sit in a softer, more atmospheric register. “Afterimage Oracle” refers to the way the figure feels like a residual impression burned into the visual field, while “Recall Error” points to the slips in detail that mark it as an unreliable reconstruction.
