Asters in the Window

The subject of this painting was a hostess gift from friends in the middle of winter when something growing and blooming is so good for the soul. It is the little things in life that bring us joy.

This is painted using watercolor on paper. It was then adhered to a birch panel and coated with a thin (and invisible) protective layer of cold wax. It can be hung on the wall or set on a table.
