Fiercely Independent is about finding and holding onto autonomy—in life, and in art.
This piece began as a photograph I took in the national parks of California: a dreamy registration of how it felt to be there. I printed it, mounted it on canvas, and then painted over it with acrylics. Inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s fierce independence, but filtered through my own minimalist gaze.
From registration to creation—a quiet act of reclaiming voice and vision.
