Painted from life, January 2023, for the STRADA Easel Challenge. The series was painted on Arches oil paper with brush (no knife). A limited palette was used and a 40-stroke limit was followed on most paintings - occasionally a painting that was "almost successful" at 40 strokes was pushed past that limit to finish it off.
