Maggie’s SEA SHELL, in ceramic with glaze, has a very strong sculptural presence. The enticing organic forms are extremely sensuous and definitely reflect marine formations. The contrast achieved between the outer flat chalky monochromatic surface and the rich, warm opalescent interior glaze is quite impressive and attractive.

The viewer can sense rhythms and movement in its aquatic setting within its undulating forms. Likewise, one could envision this piece within an environment of similar or complementary forms.

I am impressed by how Maggie has synthesized her inspiration from nature into the creation of this stunning piece. Congrats!
