Born in Cologne, Germany, in 1924. Desended from a long line of sculptors and stone cutters.

Came to the United States in 1930, and was educated in various American schools. Awarded a scholarship to the American Academy at Fontainebleau, France.

Worked interrupted by World War Il; entered United Staes Army.

Under the G.I. Bill, continued his art studies. Earned recognition and a number of prizes and scholarships.

Has exhibited in the United States, France, Italy, Australia , Sweden and Spain.

The FAR Gallery has represented him for some six years and has placed his work in various distinguished collections.
