I started this piece as an expression of personal turmoil I was going through in January. Little did I realize months later that it would also represent the turmoil the world is going through with the current pandemic. The world we know has been turned upside down.

The creative process for this piece started with a discarded oil painting from an artist friend no longer wanted. It was once a beautiful woman enjoying a day in the sun. I ripped the painting from the frame, frayed the edges, and turned it upside down.
