The tomatoes were sitting in this bowl in the kitchen. The tomato color against the bowl, literally stopped me in my tracks. I brought it to the studio and did two different paintings. This is the larger one. The lighting was just enough different to not be as great as that kitchen lighting or perhaps against the background. These tomatoes were raised right in my yard.
