I made a painting after drawing the Pandanus Grove up at Slade Point. I had attempted it many times, and disliked the heavy forms, I used colour to get a feeling for the coolness and breeze of the morning and the gentle noise of the waving Pandanus fronds, to look through them like a curtain to the sea below and beyond.
