Water holds a fascination for me, and I really enjoy painting the complexities of it. It can be mysterious, morph, and change by the time of day and weather. Layers of what lies is above, floating on top, what lurks below and how it reflects vegetation and changing skies. It is the lifeblood of remote communities who depend so much upon it. On an outback trip, I encountered this little waterhole or billabong that had little waterweed growing and movement of water by a gentle breeze.
