I Emerged from the Undergrowth

This piece started off as a gelli plate experiment. Later I added the face and narrative using cut paper from books. (old or damaged books, ready for a new life)

The words say:
"I emerged from the undergrowth
called by a feeling.

I caught my breath on dislocations
and the currents of too much light.

I see ideas and imagine what was never fully known. "
