Keeping Annual Traditions Alive in the New Normal

Comité Noviembre: National Puerto Rican Virtual Artisans Fair & Book Expo

Keeping Annual Traditions Alive in the New Normal

For many years, I've participated in this annual event. It's one of the joys in my life. It's important for us to have a space to show our work:

  • as Puerto Ricans
  • as community members
  • as artists

For me, it marks the beginning of the holiday season. I get to see old friends and make new ones from all over the world. Participating in conversations that need to be had about the Puerto Rico, sharing resources with other artists, and seeing all the new art and designs created over the year.

This year, because of the pandemic, the event went virtual. Close to 75 Puerto Rican artists and writers have their profile in the directory for potential buyers, collectors, and supporters to view their work for one year.

This holiday season, consider buying art as gifts. We, artists, need your support.
