The sculpture depicts a man sitting at the edge of a rocky platform . In his lap is a broken mirror, its shards scattered on the floor before him. Blue water swirls along the ground, particularly behind the man’s back, where there are precious blue stones and a golden flower.
The sculpture is made with natural organic materials like paper, fabric, clay, and non-toxic Art Resin and environmentally safe Textile hardener.
I remember a song by the Imperials titled "Pieces".
Some of the lyrics:
Pieces... So many pieces to my life
Scattered all around
And some of them are gone
And I know that I can't ever
Put them back together again
Pieces, pieces
So many pieces to my life
A puzzle left unfinished
Jumbled and unformed
Who can really ever
Fit it all together again?
