It’s appropriate that the first piece of my heart of 2025 be a self portrait. A new year always has me reflecting and foreseeing. I must know and honor my past with knowledge learned with no repeats. I must remember not to dwell too hard in the memories because nothing can be done about what has already happened. I look toward the future in all its newness and unknowns, putting on the full armor of God, and with a lens of hope, courageously press on.

I love playing with orientation in my paintings. Horizontally, in one direction she is me and in the other direction, love is she.
