There was no Google or Apple Maps. There was Rand McNally, paper maps. When I was growing up, we used landmarks as directions, “meet me by the corner store, by the deli near your cousins house.” I’m grateful for a good sister Alice West’s GPS invention and advances in telephonic technology, I can drop a pin to remember my spot.
