A multistep process is involved in the creation.
 First, small pieces of glass are fused together in a kiln, forming the visual patterns of color.
The resulting piece is removed and sculpted in the sandblaster to reveal its caverns and tunnels
It is then returned to the kiln with the addition of more glass and melted and draped to refine the shape and surface.  Most of my sculptures are the result of 6 or more repetitions of this process.
