Hills of Gold Image: In 1992, Sting wrote a beautiful song for his wife Trudy Styler. In it he referenced the inevitable and eventual death of time together and that he would remember love metaphorically as a field of barley moving and shimmering in the sun. With subtle differences, I adapted the idea to the imagery of the rolling hills of a golf course where the sun dances between the long shadows of the late afternoon.

“You'll remember me when the west wind moves
upon the fields of barley,
You'll forget the sun
in his jealous sky as we walk in fields of gold”

I will always remember Matt walking in Golden Hills with the sunlight catching the contours of his movement.
