This car can be found at Cross Creek, the Florida home of writer Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings for thirteen years and where she penned The Yearling, that won the Pulitzer Prize.
It is by far one of my favorite state parks. Not because it has a beautiful beach, or amazing trails as I usually look for. But because it was also one of my mothers favorites and it was the last State Park that I was able to take my mother and father to before they passed. Therefore it will always hold a special place in my heart.
There is tons to see and learn about there. and the women that do the tours are amazing. They dress in period attire, and really make you feel at home.
This is my interpretation, of the carport area in which sits A 1940 Oldsmobile, that is very similar to the one that Marjorie Rawlings herself drove.
