Sunrise and sunset in Namibia finds Hartmann’s Mountain Zebra gathering in tight groups at their local watering hole eyes ever on the lookout for predator. Characterized by distinctive black and white stripes and a dewlap, no two zebra’s stripe patterns are identical making it easier for members of a herd to recognize each other but harder for their main predator, the lion, to single one out.
