The Swimmer was inspired by the feeling of slicing through a sparkling river on a warm day surrounded by tropical gardens. This was imagined and hand painted on a 9” x 3” glass tile that is sealed in matte varnish

The Swimmer is a one-of-a-kind original.

It starts with a fine clear glass tile, with a snow white backing that allows light inside to refract and play with the media. Photos show how differing light plays with the colors.
I used acrylic paints to lay down a base. Using a combination of alcohol inks, acrylic inks and enamels, I detailed and embellished and the scene. 

Finally, the painting was sealed in archival matte varnish to protect the brilliant colors.

This piece is ready to hang using 3M Command strips which are included.
