Experience a dynamic celebration of color and creativity at VIVID 2025, a juried national exhibition hosted at d’Art Center’s Main Gallery, located at 740 Boush Street, Norfolk, VA. Running from Saturday, September 13th through Saturday, October 18th, 2025, this exhibition offers a remarkable collection of 2D and 3D artworks that embody vibrancy, boldness, and brilliance in color. The entire exhibition will also be available for permanent digital viewing on d’Art Center’s website.

Among the 66 selected pieces chosen from over 800 submissions nationwide, Liz Morton’s captivating work, Playful Frozen Symphony, takes the stage. This 20 x 20-inch acrylic, watercolor crayon, and graphite on canvas painting features an abstract array of colorful, elongated shapes reminiscent of ice cream bars or popsicles. With a rich turquoise background and textured, distressed surfaces in vivid pinks, yellows, blues, and more, Morton’s piece invites viewers into a lively, kinetic world where depth and movement animate every brushstroke.

Curated by d’Art Center Gallery Director Amanda Bradley, VIVID 2025 presents an explosion of color that promises to ignite the senses and inspire conversation.
