Beyond Serenity (2026) incorporates material from my earlier painting Patrons (2016), cut into strips and rewoven into a cold wax oil composition, Serenity (2023) , after the underlying surface had fully cured. The work reflects my ongoing interest in painting as a structurally durable object—one in which prior material, and the relationships it represents, are not discarded but physically restructured into the support system of the present composition.
