The 2023-24 Arts and Culture Grant awarded to South Metro Housing Options (SMHO) has been used to celebrate the arts and culture of our great city by incorporating an original 30’x30’ hand-painted mural outside their newest affordable property, Overlook at Powers Park. The mural was hand-painted by Colorado artist Jason T. Graves, which was completed in January 2024.
The thoughtful and well-executed design elevates the property’s uniqueness and adds beauty and vibrancy to the surrounding area, including the adjacent Powers Park. The colorful outdoor mural is located on the south-west side of the building and can be seen from W. Powers Avenue, Powers Park, surrounding homes, and those passing by.
Commissioned by South Metro Housing Options , with funds from the Arts & Culture Grant program (administered by the Littleton Museum). Painted on exterior wall of the Overlook at Powers Park affordable housing building, located at 5599 S. Elati Street, Littleton, CO 80120.
