Jack O’Brien was a deep sea diver during the 1940’s 50’s 60’s and early 1970’s. Jack worked in the Puget Sound in the marine industry.
In the art you can see Jack on a ladder. In the main photo a group of colleagues are gathered around a diving helmet with Jack in the rust colored hat . I added a nametag for clarity. Photo credit due to the original photographer(s) (unknown).
The original commissioned artwork, by a family member is 12x16 and some of the ingredients are acrylic paints, collage techniques, vintage ephemera, a nautical chart of the Ballard area and many other elements.
