In West Texas, the horizon can spread 180 degrees without interruption. (That's why jackrabbits are so popular-- their ears stick up above the horizon, offering visual relief from the flat plains.) Add a sky ribboned with clouds and a distant rain shower, and you could drive on forever, just enjoying the tranquillity of open space and unpolluted sky.
This small watercolor is on a museum grade board coated with several layers of matte archival varnish, a miniature gem that needs no glass to protect it. A frame would set it off for hanging, or, leave it unframed and set it on a table easel or shelf.
