This pastel painting was the final piece I did of the same big rock on a mountain stream. Over the years, three generations enjoyed dropping a line in the clear, bubbling water or simply sitting on the rock, soaking in serenity. This 1980's era original is on heavily sanded paper. It's in its original frame, and sealed under clear glass, wired and ready to hang. Never shown, it hung in my grandmother's living room, then in our own home. I learned about painting rocks by doing this series over more than a decade.
This is in its original frame, glass and dustcover backing. The frame is light, simple and tasteful and in good shape. The painting is sold "as is" and minor blemishes, such as tape residue on the back of the dust cover or small nicks in the frame, are part of the package. Feel free to reframe this, but also reaize vintage original art is generally considered more valuable when it's in its original frame, which gives it a closer link to the mind of the artist at the time art was created.
