Guadalupe National Park, Devil's Hall Trail in autumn

Happening upon this shady rest stop with its unexpected burst of fall color gave us a welcomed respite during a hot October hike on the rocky trail to the Devil's Staircase in Guadalupe National Park. The park, which spreads through West Texas and New Mexico is a rugged favorite of mine, especially in the fall.
