Coming upon a wild burro in the desert delights me. This one patiently posed for photographs before, with a sure-footed gait, moseying off across rocks in the dry riverbed. Painting this burro and the rocks in detail, I remembered the heat of the stark desert home he seemed so comfortable in. Gifts from the desert come in all sizes, be they rocky draws or wild things covered with dusty coats.
