This Davis Mountains native boldly stood his ground, backdropped in high grass as we came up the road. The gray fox didn't bolt, but made it clear we shouldn’t come any closer. Supper was at stake, however, so he kept his eyes on us while continuing his hunt, and soon captured a very appetizing giant grasshopper.
