Art Club
Art Club is my answer to modern day patronage. For a small monthly contribution, you become one of my favorite patrons, and your financial support aids me in the creative process. In exchange for your generosity, every month you will receive a piece of my art and a special note with some inspiration behind the artwork.
Critters in My Neighborhood
Inspiration can be found in some of the most unexpected places, this time, all I had to do was walk out my front door. In this latest collection of watercolor paintings, I sought to capture the spirit and character of the Texas critters that share my neighborhood and have captured my heart.
Land Air & Sea Collection
The paintings of the ‘Land, Air & Sea Collection’, were born out of the necessary duties of motherhood and the weekly time spent waiting for children involved in extracurricular activities. Taking advantage of the time, I embarked on a summer long adventure to explore watercolor painting.
Love Letters to My Children
Without a doubt, my four children are my greatest works of art. So, when I took a dive into portraiture in 2021, it is not surprising that they were the first people I wanted to paint. In each piece, I not only wanted to represent their physical beauty but also how I see each of them beyond the physical. The paintings contain little messages, love letters, to each of them. Reminders to continue to be brave and fierce; to hold grace, laughter, and music near to their hearts; and to always look for the beauty in the world.
My Muses Collection
The ‘My Muses’ Collection was created to celebrate my 55th trip around the sun and to express my deep gratitude to these amazing artists who have inspired me on my artist journey over the last twenty+ years. Each oil portrait is connected to a story of a memory that I wrote about in my blog. The entire muses project, 5 portraits + 5 stories, was a months long exercise in gratitude and self-healing.
The Mimes Collection
This collection started from a mistake I made when ordering panels. I was so bummed when I opened the box. But! I didn't send them back because I couldn't help myself from asking, what can I make with these? I put them on the shelf and that's where they stayed for some time.
Awhile later I happened upon those panels and thought to myself, these look like little mime boxes. The collection was born.
