I was inspired by the view through glass blocks when I painted this contemporary, abstract large piece of art. Glass block walls have been around for decades and are a staple in the art deco world and continue to find their place in today's modern architecture. The distortion of an image when viewing them through a glass block provides their own abstract attraction. This glass block painting which also includes some curved lines, incorporates shades of blue, shades of green, small amounts of other colors and a few small areas of silver metallic. The painting s 48" wide x 36" high and 1.5" deep and the edges are painted a color that compliments the painting. A UV-resistant satin varnish has been applied on the surface. This painting is ready to hang!
