This work immortalizes a serene moment just beyond my kitchen bay window. Cardinals, adorned in vibrant red, assembled gracefully in the aftermath of a snowstorm. I captured the scene, with my camera, as the visitors congregate in the tranquil winter landscape. Over several weeks I translated the photo with brushes and paint. Each cardinal is a splash of color against the pristine white canvas, frozen in time.
