I always love the initial drawing. My frustration is taking to a larger piece. My first attempts loss the spontaneous of the original drawing. As I let go of the original drawing, the piece went into a new direction.
5 Minutes emphasizes form and gesture of a brief moment of two figures interacting. Abstract lines and minimal shading intentionally disfigure the figures that disrupts their forms and guides the eye across the canvas. The overall effect balances calmness with an unsettling, fragmented connection.
