Artist: Dorian Büchi (Swiss, b. 1989)

Born in 1989 in Lausanne, Switzerland, Dorian Büchi is a Swiss artist whose practice spans painting, sculpture, and printmaking. Educated at the Zurich University of the Arts and Parsons School of Design in New York, he explores themes of nature, memory, and the relationship between body and mind in the digital age. Büchi’s work often reflects on resilience and transformation, using both natural materials and precise compositional framing to evoke cycles of growth and decay.

His recent series of self-portraits, portraits, and still lifes investigates modern wellness culture and the psychology of self-optimization. Büchi has exhibited internationally, with solo shows at Galerie Mighela Shama in Geneva and Modern Animals Gallery in Zurich. Living and working in Zurich, he continues to develop a poetic visual language that bridges introspection, ecology, and contemporary life.
