In "The Last Tulips," I wanted to create a quick tribute to the final flowers from my own garden. There’s a specific beauty in the way they begin to wither, so I used rapid, expressive strokes to catch that energy before it was gone. By leaving some of the neutral paper showing, the piece sits right between a drawing and a painting—it feels as delicate and fleeting as the tulips themselves.
