Over several weeks I created this painting love in front of people attending a weekly dance. They got to see the progress and changes along the way. I started with the octagon on the ground and painted it white and then pour painted the background. Each week I was inspired as to what to paint based upon my recent experiences. In this case I saw a local Hawaii Hawk that lives around my land called an 'Io. It harassed som Minor birds who were making a lot of noise and I witnessed the hawk stealing a baby bird from its nest. The loose grey helpless bird was taken away ruthlessly. Using the knots in the wood as more eggs or bird souls, I named this "Soul Selection". The final weeks I painted the flower of life from having seen a light orb over the ocean on my way to the dance. This to me was the little bird soul that ascended and escaped the clutches of the hawk. Many little bird souls did not make it as you can see depicted in the energy ties back to the hawk.
