This 12-pointed star in the underpainting indicates good luck. The 12th term of the fibonacci sequence equals 144. My intention is for this paitning to radiate good luck into the room creating a painting that is a good luck charm!
The star formation is from a tile pattern I once saw at La Alhambra de Granada in Spain. I am in awe of sacred geometries and this 12-sided star came into my awareness again as a generator of good luck. After drawing the pattern several times on paper I then used a compass and pencil before using paint to fill out the shapes. Pouring paints and heavy body gold and resin allowed for the obscuring of the detailed geometry in order to set the ritual, like in a magic sigil where the original phrase is forgotten, but the intention is ever present.
