This artwork was created in the weeks following the 2025 Palisades and Eaton fires in L.A., along with CANYON and CHARLOTTE IN VENICE. I have been interested in the intersection of nature and the human-built world throughout my painting career, though few could have envisioned the extreme way this dynamic played out in January. "Life Force" acknowledges a powerful innate will to live that resides within all biological forms on the planet, propelling life forward through the shock of devastation and into the growth of regeneration.
