Cheryl Anne Grace paints in a visual storytelling style, using a vivid palette in all of her work. Her magical realism is influenced by her Southern roots and incorporates elements of personal narrative marrying past and present. Sentimental objects from her past enter into her imagined settings, places that draw on the present, and places she considers sacred landscapes. She strives to not simply create representational work, but metaphors that draw the viewer in to experience elements of familiarity or memory.
