I like the fun and the colorful and the black and white. I like bold and simple. I am usually in a rush so most of my work lacks detail. But I like to think what it lacks in detail it makes up for in personality. I am a mom and a teacher (substitute). My life is a mixed up bag of everything and my work is too. I like to paint with acrylic on canvas or sometimes manikins. I like acrylic because of easy cleanup. I like larger canvases 24x30 is preferred. Big enough to make a statement but not so big that it is hard to place. I'm not sure if it can be called "fine art" but I like to call it "fun art". I don't have a formal art education but I do appreciate almost any form of self-expression and I think Pop Art is a good genera for simple self-expression. I'm also a writer and illustrator so I love characters with a story and most of my pieces stem from a single subject with an interesting story.
