“As a parent and educator Roger was saddened by the continued school shootings throughout our nation. He created this painting to both commemorate those lost to gun violence and to put an end to the sale of automatic weapons. The phrase “Turning swords into plough shears”, comes to mind when the artist turns a stack of AK47’s into a vase for flowers. The colorful flowers are neatly attached to the gun barrels with a blue silk ribbon.”
