The dimensions are for the actual work. The dowels holding it at the top are coming out an extra 2-5 inches on each side. The upper dowel dimensions can be modified. There is a second dowel at the bottom, and fits inside the dimensions of the work.
The distance from the wall can be variable, as it can be hung from the wall or ceiling.
The work comes with bronze wall mounts custom made for the Banner works.
