Much like in this painting ‘drift’ sometimes life sweeps things and circumstances along your way. One can pick them up, have a look at them, decide what to do with them and in which light to regard a situation.

‘Drift’ has been composed alongside two other paintings: ‘tracing patterns’ and ‘still singing behind the houses’. While each piece can and does stand for itself, they also form a unit - a triptych in which ‘drift’ is the panel on the right.
