“Pavanne” Oil, acrylic, and graphite on canvas. 20x24 inches. This is the second of the two pieces I began several months ago. For this work, I did further exploration of the textures of sound in the track named Pavanne performed by Ahmad Jamal. The track is crisp, and tight at the outset, and uses hits of asynchrony in the middle, playing with percussion as counter to keys.
