Upon arrival to Canberra over eight years ago, stood grand Gum Trees
which greeted each new arrival to the city. This series of works reflect my fascination of the
trees, focusing on various elements through texture, line work and negative space.

Created by hand, each work on paper has evolved using professional grade artist mediums and papers. Elements are portrayed through exploration of varying techniques, all the while threaded together by a love of drawing. Various discoveries are highlighted through delicate organic lines, or expressed through bold dramatic marks.
