The light at dawn, just before the sun peeked over the horizon was so intensely orange that it seemed to intensify the blues of the water, The shadows behind the waves were dark, the water lighter, and briefly, the foam of the broken waves went intensely turquoise. It felt as if the orange light was so strong that it surrounded everything and everyone and even forced the blues to be bluer.
