This piece focuses on the idea of the oceans as varied habitats, with wildly varied - and possibly unknown - inhabitants. The cutouts have become more elaborate with a tree-coral cutout used also as a stencil. Most of the paper, but not all, is sourced from older acrylic ink and paint works of a totally different nature, redesigned as possible ocean creatures. Because the whole series mixes birds and fish, as emblems of the different habitats but still connected, there are some birds in this one too, conceptually valid, if not biologically so.
