This painting was inspired by many trips to Cook Forest in Cooksburg, PA, home of the Cathedral Forest - the largest old growth forest in the Northeast United States. We had rented a cabin but there weren't many trees around the house so we took our lawn chairs and walked back to the woods. It was so peaceful and the light coming through the trees was just breathtaking
