These paintings were so musical and energetic. I wanted to think of what they reminded me of. It came to me that they reminded me of birds singing in the trees. There are two paintings that are similar and I painted them at the same time. One I called "Drink Your Tea" after the Eastern Towhee's birdsong which he sings in springtime at the top of a tree. It sounds like he's calling: "Drink Your Tea! Drink Your Tea!" This painting is called Top of the Tree, referring to the spot where this bird sits to sing his song.
